Acing the behavioral interview
Rhea Kapoor · 21 Jun 2026
Behavioral questions ("Tell me about a time you...") are really asking one thing: can you tell a clear story with a beginning, middle, and end? The STAR method — Situation, Task, Action, Result — keeps your answer from wandering. Situation sets the scene in one sentence. Task states what you were responsible for. Action is the bulk of your answer: what YOU specifically did, not your team. Result closes with a measurable outcome wherever possible. Practicing three or four STAR stories in advance covers most interview questions you’ll actually be asked.
