A practical guide to building a digital product platform
Introduction
Digital Frutix originally started as a learning experiment. I wanted to explore modern web architecture, headless systems, and digital product platforms. Over time, the project became a collection of prototypes and technical experiments.
While those experiments helped me understand the technology stack, they also made one thing clear: if Digital Frutix is going to become a real platform, it needs a clean foundation.
This article explains why I decided to rebuild Digital Frutix from scratch and what the new direction looks like.
The Problem With the First Version
The first version of Digital Frutix was useful for learning but not ideal for growth.
There were several issues:
- Too many experiments in the same codebase
- Architecture decisions changing too frequently
- No clear separation between content, products, and platform logic
- Difficulty scaling the project into a real digital product platform
Instead of continuing to patch the existing system, it made more sense to start fresh with a clear architecture and long-term vision.
The New Direction
The rebuilt Digital Frutix will focus on two main pillars.
1. Knowledge and Content
The blog will become the central place where I share knowledge about:
- building digital product platforms
- AI tools and workflows
- productivity systems
- online business experiments
- lessons learned while building Digital Frutix
This blog will also serve as a transparent documentation of the entire journey.
2. Digital Products
The second pillar of the platform will be digital products.
These may include:
- AI prompt packs
- templates and productivity systems
- digital planners
- learning resources
- automation tools
The goal is to create practical assets that help people build, learn, and experiment faster.
Technology Stack Behind Digital Frutix
The platform is being rebuilt using a modern headless architecture.
Key technologies include:
- Wix Headless for backend services and data management
- Angular with Server Side Rendering (SSR) for the frontend
- Tailwind CSS for fast and flexible styling
- DaisyUI for clean UI components
This combination allows the platform to remain flexible while still benefiting from the infrastructure provided by Wix.
Why a Blog-First Approach
Many digital product platforms fail because they start with products but no audience.
Digital Frutix will take a different approach.
The platform will start with:
- useful articles
- transparent building process
- real experiments
- practical insights
Over time this creates trust, community, and feedback — which makes building digital products far more effective.
What You Can Expect Next
In the coming weeks, this blog will cover topics such as:
- building a headless platform step by step
- designing digital products that actually sell
- experimenting with AI tools for productivity
- lessons learned from real online projects
You will also see behind-the-scenes updates as Digital Frutix evolves.
Final Thoughts
Rebuilding from scratch is not about abandoning previous work. It is about using the lessons learned to create something stronger and more sustainable.
Digital Frutix is now moving from experimentation to execution.
And this blog will document that journey.
